Initial and periodic inspections, as well as certification of LPG tanks, are mandatory in order to ensure their safe use and prevent accidents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91d2c82 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"91d2c82\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Initial Inspection - CE Marking of LPG Tanks\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8478d80 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8478d80\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">The inspection for the CE marking of gas tanks is mandatory for their distribution and legal use in the European Union in accordance with European Directive 2014\/68\/EU. The inspection is carried out exclusively by a Notified Body, such as <b>Ergocert Hellas S.A.<\/b>, at the request of the manufacturer.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Inspection Body evaluates the design of the tank\u2019s construction, monitors the individual construction, and carries out intermediate quality and final inspections in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2014\/68\/EU.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce1e7dd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ce1e7dd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Periodic Inspection of LPG Tanks<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dfce4ff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dfce4ff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In accordance with applicable national legislation, all LPG tanks are subject to mandatory periodic technical inspections, which are the responsibility of the owner.\u00a0<\/p><p>The first periodic inspection is carried out five (5) years after the initial certification of the tank's construction and is repeated every five years. The inspection requirements are specified by law, depending on the use and location of the tank:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\">For <strong>industrial, craft, and professional facilities<\/strong>: FEK 477\/B\/1993<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For tanks in <strong>buildings for domestic use<\/strong>: FEK 1257\/B\/2003<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">For <strong>LPG tanks in motor fuel supply facilities (AUTOGAS) at fuel and energy stations<\/strong>: additionally, FEK 1221\/B\/2009<\/li><\/ul><p>Inspections generally include, among other things, visual inspection, leak testing, pressure testing, and verification of the proper functioning of safety systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f9d17f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f9d17f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Periodic inspections of LPG tanks are divided into two basic categories:<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8c5e20e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8c5e20e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Five-yearly inspection of LPG tanks<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b5a380 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6b5a380\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the five-yearly inspection following the initial certification of the tank's construction, at least an external inspection of the tank's condition and a check of the safety valves' operation are carried out. In addition, the thickness of the tank plates may be measured using a special ultrasonic device.\u00a0<\/p><p>In order to carry out the inspection on underground tanks, it is necessary to uncover the tank in case there is no cathodic protection.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e73b42f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e73b42f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Ten-yearly inspection of LPG tanks<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e80f227 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e80f227\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the ten-yearly inspection following the initial construction of the tank, everything required for the five-yearly inspection is repeated. In addition, a complete internal inspection and\/or hydraulic test is carried out, as well as a thickness measurement of the tank plates. In order to carry out the inspection on underground tanks, it is necessary to uncover the tank.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-47e6ca1 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"47e6ca1\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<div or even the revocation of the company's operating license.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6bdc2bf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6bdc2bf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Inspection of LPG pipelines<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10cb2c8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\"
